Anacyclus Pyrethrum & Testosterone

What Is Anacyclus Pyrethrum

Anacyclus pyrethrum is a herb that has traditionally been used as an aphrodisiac in Ayurvedic medicine.

It also has supposed male enhancement benefits.

Is It A Testosterone Booster?

Analcyclus Pyrethrum has not been extensively studied (there are only 12 published scientific papers on it as of now), but so far, the research seems promising.

Let’s take a quick look:

  • Rats given 50-150mg of anacyclus pyrethrum root extract for 28-days experienced a nearly two-fold increase in testosterone levels (exact values not given) (3).
  • Rats given anacyclus pyrethrum have been shown to experience significantly enhanced markers of sexuality (4, 5)

The research surrounding anacyclus is still in preliminary stages. No human research has even been performed with it.

The animal studies are promising, but there’s no saying that the same effects carry over in humans as well.
